what i wear [spc]

/ 18 November 2007

i often don't know what to wear. when i look at my clothes, they don't seem to fit me anymore. i'm not talking about size here, i'm just saying that i've changed a lot and with it my style changed too apparantly.

one thing that always seems to fit though, are words. i love to read them & write them. i love to paint words and hear them too. so much even that i plan to change my writing style a bit. i've been blogging here for almost a year now, and when i read the first few post back i hardly recognize my writing. the words don't seem to resonate with me any longer, but still they are a part of me. they got me to this point where i can look back and see the lessons i've learned. both in life and in writing.

if i had to use one word to decribe this new venture in writing i would choose 'truth'. not that i haven't shed my truth here this past year. i just feel that there are many more layers to be explored.

'telling the truth is like exposing the underside of our wings - we see that part only when we fly. we all have to show up for our own lives. we all, at our own age, have to claim something, even if it is only our own confusion. let this space be a place you can lay down the tangled questions.' - sabrina ward harrison
