Small steps

/ 23 August 2007

Monday morning Emma and I met up for breakfast and talked, among other things, about decisions. Then I finally said aloud what I've know all along: "I'm moving back to Finland."

I made the decision the day before at Kaivopuisto. While sitting on a cliff in the warm Sunday morning sun, I finally acknowledged what i've known for so long. See, no matter how bad life gets, Finland always feels right for me. I'm able to take deeper breaths there and i can hold them longer too.

Taking small steps, that's what I'll do every day toward a life in Finland. It's gonna be hard, but I think it'll be worth it ones that plane lands at Helsinki-Vantaa airport again and I know that I don't have to go.
